I'm delighted to announce the appearance of a new issue of *Oral Tradition*! *Oral Tradition* 36 (<https://journal.oraltradition.org/issues/36i/volume-36-issue-1/>) includes five articles on topics including expressions of Vedic myth in the *Mahābhārata*, the geomythology of Fijian traditions, degrees of orality in Occitan narrative, quantitative methods for distinguishing oral from written texts, and the multimodality of slam poetry.
